Tulum NYE Events

On New Year’s Eve, every venue in Tulum runs its biggest night of the year at the same time. Some are dinner experiences: dinner seats around 7 to 8 PM, the show comes to you between courses, and everything builds toward the midnight countdown. Others skip dinner and go straight to the party. Every venue runs a special program, menu or ticket for the night, priced differently than the rest of the year.

How It Works

  1. Choose your vibe

Dinner show or party-only? Some venues seat you for a full dinner with the show between courses, others skip dinner and run the party straight through. Pick by atmosphere.

  2. Lock in your table or entry

On NYE every venue runs a special program, menu or ticket, priced differently than the rest of the year. It’s the busiest night of the year in Tulum, so the earlier you decide, the more options you have.

  3. Arrive for the night

Dinner venues seat around 7 to 8 PM and the show comes to you between courses. Party-only venues open later in the evening. Either way your reservation is already handled, you just show up.

  4. Count down to midnight

The whole night builds toward the countdown. Music up, everyone on their feet, and the party carries on into the new year. How long you stay is your call.

What It Costs

What you bookWhat you pay for
Dinner ExperiencesNYE dinner venues run a prepaid set menu: one per-person price for the dinner and the show, booked in advance.
Party ticketsTickets sell online with drinks purchased separately. The price usually increases as the night gets closer. Early releases are the best value, so lock in as soon as your plans are set.
Party tablesA private table includes entry and credit to spend on drinks and bottles. Some venues add a service charge of up to 15%, the same as when you book direct.

Good to Know

  • Not a regular week: On most nights the show is free with dinner. New Year’s Eve flips that: prepaid menus, tickets and table packages, with the whole night built around confirmed bookings.
  • Reservations: Walk-ins are not realistic on NYE. Book ahead; the earlier you decide, the more venues you can still choose from.
  • Dress code: Festive. People dress up for New Year’s in Tulum, cocktail attire or beach-elegant both work. As always, no tank-tops or flip-flops.
  • Getting there: Most venues are in the Hotel Zone. Traffic is very busy on NYE, so stay close to your venue if you can, or head out early. You don’t want to count down to midnight from the back of a taxi.
  • Age: Dinner venues generally welcome all ages. Party events may set their own age limits, so check the individual event pages.
  • Your table is yours for the night: No two-hour seatings on NYE. With a reservation you keep your table from dinner through the countdown, and stay as long as the party goes.
