Tulum Day Parties
Tulum’s daytime scene runs from late morning into the early evening – beach clubs with DJs and bottle service, cenote parties in the jungle, sunset celebrations, and Sunday brunches. Most run on a weekly schedule, so the options depend on what days you’re visiting.

Good to Know
- Arrival time: Day parties get busy around noon. Beachclubs usually open at 11 AM – cenote and lagoon parties open earlier at 9 AM. The earlier you arrive, the more peaceful the water before the crowd builds. All reservations include seating for the whole day.
- Reservations: Venues usually accept walk-ins, but a reservation guarantees availability and that your group can be seated together.
- Dress code: Beach clubs = stylish swimwear/beachwear. Cenote parties = swimwear.
- Getting there: Beach clubs are in the hotel zone (~20-25 min from town). Cenotes and lagoons are on jungle roads (~15-30 min from town). For 3 people or less a taxi is a good option. For larger groups we recommend booking a private driver. When we make the reservation larger groups get a discount on the roundtrip transportation.
- Age: Taboo and Tantra are 15+. The other venues generally welcome all ages. Check individual event pages for more details.
- Sunscreen: Biodegradable sunscreen required at cenotes and lagoons. Regular sunscreen is not allowed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best day club in Tulum?
Beach clubs are the classic Tulum day party. Tantra and Taboo are the two with the highest energy- both run Friday and Saturday with resident DJs, live sax and violin. Tantra is more fancy, while Taboo has the wildest party of Tulum. For something more laid-back, choose Gitano Beach. Cenote and lagoon clubs are a uniquely Tulum alternative. These are more affordable and more relaxed.
Should I go to a beach or cenote club?
It comes down to vibe and budget. Beach clubs give you ocean views, pools, DJs, bottle service, and a polished party atmosphere. Dress code is stylish swimwear, and the energy peaks in the early-to-mid afternoon. Cenotes and lagoon clubs are a different experience – natural swimming spots surrounded by jungle, with DJs and activities layered in. They’re more affordable and the vibe is more earthy and wellness-oriented.
