Tulum’s nightlife venues fill around 10 PM and run until 1–4 AM. Most events are Thursday to Saturday, with some Sundays. The scene is electronic music-driven – house, techno, and tribal beats in open-air jungle and beachfront settings. No mega-clubs – just good sound systems in spectacular locations. Tickets or table reservations required at all venues.

Good to Know
- Best nights: Friday and Saturday have the most events and the highest energy. Thursday and Sunday also have lively events. Other days are best for relaxing.
- Buy tickets early: Ticket prices increase as the event approaches. On the event page you can find the link to buy tickets.
- Arrive at the right time: Some parties get busy after midnight, while others finish at 1 AM. Don’t show up just before it closes or at opening time expecting a packed house. Check the info on the event page and arrive at the right time.
- Dress code: Fashionable – no flip flops, no athletic wear, no casual shorts. Think stylish and intentional. Closed shoes recommended. These aren’t beach bars after dark
- Getting there: The night clubs are in the hotel zone (20-25 min from town). For 3 people or less a taxi is a good option. For larger groups we recommend booking a private driver. When we make the reservation groups booking a private table get a discount on the roundtrip transportation.
- Age: 18+ at all venues – ID may be checked at the door.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best night club in Tulum?
Depends on what you’re after. Vagalume is the most consistent – great sound, beautiful beachfront setting, strong weekly lineup. Bonbonniere is the most intimate and club-like. Papaya Playa is the biggest but only opens on Saturdays. Message us with your group and we’ll recommend.
Should I buy a ticket or book a table?
Tickets are fine for couples or small groups who want to dance. Tables are better for groups of 4+ who want a base, bottle service, and guaranteed seating. Table minimums become a consumption credit – you’re not paying just for the table, you’re pre-paying your bar tab.
