How to Get There
Xplor is about 50 minutes north of Tulum, near Playa del Carmen. Xplor Regular runs 9 AM to 4:30 PM: leave Tulum around 8 AM and you’re back by about 5:30 PM. Want ziplines without the drive? Selva Maya is 15 minutes from Tulum: a half-day park with 9 ziplines, hanging bridges and a cenote.

Ziplines
The longest zipline circuit in the Riviera Maya: 14 lines across the jungle canopy, including the highest in the area. Some launch you over treetops, others over underground rivers.
Stalactite River Swim
Swim through flooded underground caves lined with stalactites and stalagmites: crystal-clear water, ancient limestone formations, and an otherworldly silence.
Amphibious Vehicles
Drive an all-terrain amphibious vehicle through jungle trails, over bridges, and into flooded caverns. You drive. It’s not a guided ride.
Rafts
Paddle through the same cave system on a raft: hands in the water, stalactites overhead. A slower, more immersive way to explore the underground rivers.
Hammock Splash
A hammock rigged as a zipline over the water: lie back, swing out, and drop into the river below. Unique to Xplor.
Toboganxote
A 5-in-1 water slide that launches you through twists and turns and dumps you into a wave pool. The most popular water activity in the park.

What to Bring
Good to Know
- Full-day park: Xplor Regular runs 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Plan to spend most of the day. Xplor Fuego is a 5-hour evening session.
- This is the most adrenaline-heavy park near Tulum. If your group prefers a relaxed pace, Xel-Ha or Xcaret may be a better fit.
- You will get wet: underground rivers, rafting, water slides, and swimming are core activities. Bring dry clothes for the ride home.
- Last-minute bookings are often possible, but we recommend booking at least a week in advance.
- Minimum age of 5 years.

This company was extremely professional! I initially booked a ride with them for my group (13 friends traveling together), and they made some great recommendations that I did not even know existed, and were able to secure bookings for us. We received excellent communication and punctuality from the drivers, and the company was flexible and patient with the changes of plans that come with traveling with a large group. Frequently Asked Questions
Can kids do everything?
The minimum age is 5 years. All activities are open to kids except driving the amphibious vehicles (18+ to drive; passengers can be younger with an adult driver). Height minimums may apply to some ziplines.
Is food included?
Yes, unlimited snacks (cookies, fruit, smoothies, flavored waters) and non-alcoholic beverages all day, plus a buffet lunch (Regular) or dinner (Fuego). No need to buy food inside the park.
How does this compare to Selva Maya?
Selva Maya is smaller, cheaper, and right outside Tulum: no hour-long drive. Xplor is bigger with more ziplines (14 vs. 9), amphibious vehicles, and underground rivers. Selva Maya is better if you want a half-day option with no crowds. Xplor is better if you want a full-day, maximum-adrenaline experience.
