I love Taboo. It is very very pricey. I loved my drink and my salmon taco. I did not like to be harrassed by the beach vendors so I would suggest to not take a sunbed if you want to avoid that experience, but rather, stay closer to the pool. The music could have been better (it is my 2nd time at Taboo so I know their potential). Overall, I will always recommend Taboo.
Rating: 4.5/5 A very relaxing but expensive day. Total spend was over $11,000 MXN for a family of three. The service was top-notch, though the food menu is a bit repetitive if you stay for multiple days—sushi was unfortunately unavailable. Pros: Great service and relaxing cabanas. Cons: Lots of uncleaned sargassum on the beach, basic restrooms, and a "party" vibe that is better suited for adults than families with young teens. I’d come back for an adults-only trip once the food options are expanded!
I expected that the sargassum would at least be cleaned at a high-end beach club like this. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The pool water was also quite dirty, which left essentially nowhere to swim. I rented a sunbed and still ended up getting sunburned after a couple of hours, even though I was sitting in the shade under an umbrella and applied sunscreen twice. When I later moved to a swing closer to the bar, a hostess approached me in a very rude manner asking what I was doing there, which made me feel unwelcome. You are also required to pay gratuities on top of the 2,000 MXN minimum spend, which feels unreasonable considering a single cocktail costs around 470 MXN (about 35 CAD). To be fair, the food, cocktails, music, sunbeds, and overall atmosphere were good. However, given the price and the issues mentioned above, the experience felt significantly overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Joost and the Tulum Concierge team were exceptional. Joost helped us plan a full week-long bachelor party and absolutely nailed every detail. From restaurants and beach clubs to activities and logistics, everything was seamless and top tier. He was incredibly responsive, well connected, and always had great recommendations that matched exactly what we were looking for. Planning something for a group can be stressful, but Joost made the whole process easy and smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend working with him if you're planning a trip to Tulum.
We used YTC for our Anniversary this week. We used their private driver service from the airport to our hotel and back. Our drivers were professional, extremely nice and on time. YTC also booked our beachclub for us within minutes of us calling. They answered all our questions and gave us really good suggestions while in Tulum. They even checked to make sure we arrived back home safely. We will definitely use them again when we return to Tulum.
YTC was phenomenal for our bachelorette trip. They were very responsive and helpful when creating our itinerary. Whether it was pick up from the airport or driving us from beach clubs to dinner—they were extremely prompt and safe. The pricing was also the most reasonable compared to other companies. I would highly recommend booking through them for your next Tulum trip. I had the absolute best experience with Your Tulum Concierge. I am an overthinker and an over-planner and Paola was an absolute gem at securing all the reservations and transportation requests I had. She has an amazing attitude, was flexible with changes, and was incredibly thorough with her follow ups pre-trip and during our excursions, just checking in to make sure we were having the best experience. Toward the end of our time at a beach club in Tulum, Joost was readily available and willing to accommodate an early pick up with beverage service on our ride back to our resort. Reservations without a deposit can be canceled at no cost before the reservation time. Advance payments are not refundable. In case of bad weather, you may request a date change based on availability or use the credit at Rosa Negra or Chambao Restaurant.
