Ilios is loud, and a little chaotic, in the best way. Dinner starts calm: Greek mezze, lamb chops, fresh seafood, and a glass of Assyrtiko under the stars. Then the lights drop.
At 9 PM, the fire performers take over. Past 10, plates are in the air. By 11, the whole room is on its feet. If you want a polite, quiet dinner in Tulum, this is not the place. If you want a night you’ll talk about at home, reserve a table.

The best place I’ve been to in Tulum this place honestly made my whole trip. Without this restaurant, my vacation would not have been nearly as special or memorable. The food is honestly some of the best I’ve had in my life, and the pasta is truly to die for. I came here 3 nights in a row during my stay in Tulum, and every single night was perfect. Hector is absolutely the best he made the experience so warm, welcoming, and unforgettable. Andrews and the whole team were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. This restaurant became my favorite part of Tulum and genuinely made my vacation. Thank you for making my stay so special. And a big Thank you to Hector 🙏🏻
Amazing food, amazing vibes, non-stop fun. Somehow they're able to give you very attentive, great service despite everything going on. Every server treated us like a VIP, and attended to our every need. One of our favourite dishes was the roasted eggplant simply because we didn't expect it to be that good.
4/5 — Amazing party vibe, great cocktails, but food is not the main reason to go Ilios in Tulum is definitely a place I would recommend if you are looking for a fun, high-energy night out. The atmosphere is amazing, especially if you want more than just a quiet dinner. The vibe is lively, festive, and very Tulum: music, dancing, beautiful setting, and a real party atmosphere. We had an amazing night, and it’s the kind of restaurant that feels more like a full experience than just a meal. The cocktails were also really good. They were well made, refreshing, and fit perfectly with the mood of the evening. If you’re going with friends or as a couple and want to have drinks, enjoy the music, dance a little, and be part of a fun scene, Ilios is a great choice. The only reason I removed one star is the food. It was correct and enjoyable, but honestly not amazing, especially considering the price. For what you pay, I expected the food to be more memorable. Nothing was bad, but it didn’t feel like the quality matched the level of pricing. In a place like Tulum, I understand that you are paying partly for the location, ambiance, and overall experience, but if I were judging only the food, I would probably not recommend it. That being said, I still had a great time and would absolutely recommend Ilios for the right occasion. Go for the vibe, the music, the cocktails, the dancing, and the energy. It’s perfect if you want a fun party dinner and a memorable night out. But if your priority is purely high-end food quality or a quiet culinary experience, there are probably better options. Overall, Ilios is a strong 4-star restaurant for me: amazing atmosphere and party vibe, very good cocktails, fun experience, but food that is decent rather than exceptional and a bit overpriced for what it is.
We had a great experience at Illios Tulum. The food was excellent — honestly better than we expected after reading some mixed reviews. It completely exceeded our expectations. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was superb from start to finish. Special thanks to Tulio, our server, who was incredibly attentive and hands-on. He made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. His energy and professionalism really elevated our visit. Overall, we left impressed and happy. We’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting Tulum.
Amazing restaurant! The food is absolutely top-notch, with a great DJ, a fun atmosphere, and incredible service. A special thank you to Daniela, our waitress, for her warm and attentive service. She helped me choose dishes that were suitable for me since I’m lactose-sensitive. Highly recommended!
