    • From Tulum: Approximately 6 km (3.7 miles) north; about a 10-minute drive.​
    • From Playa del Carmen: Approximately 60 km (37 miles) south; about a 50-minute drive.​
    • From Cancún: Approximately 120 km (75 miles) south; about a 1.5-hour drive.​

    How to Get There

    By Car: Drive along Highway 307 and look for signs directing to Cenote Tankah. Free parking is available on-site.​

    By Taxi: Taxis are readily available from Tulum and Playa del Carmen. It’s advisable to agree on the fare beforehand.​

    By Colectivo: Colectivos run along Highway 307. Inform the driver you’re heading to Cenote Tankah, and they will drop you off near the entrance.​

    • Never touch or remove stalactites, stalagmites, or any rock formations—these natural structures take thousands of years to form and are protected by law. Removing them is illegal and considered an environmental crime.
