Casa Cenote

An open-air cenote where freshwater meets the mangroves. Wide, sunlit, and surrounded by jungle – swim and snorkel through crystal-clear water with fish, turtles, and mangrove roots below you. The most accessible and relaxed of the three stops. You arrive early, before the crowds.

Taak Bi Ha Cenote

The highlight of the tour. An underground cave system where you swim through limestone passageways by lamplight – stalactites overhead, blue-tinted water below, and complete silence except for your own breathing. Your guide leads you through the cave, pointing out geological formations millions of years old. Unlike anything you’ll experience above ground.

Lunch

Picnic lunch to recharge between cenotes.

Private Cenote Experience

A cenote reserved for your group – no other tourists, no crowds. A calm, intimate swim to close out the tour. The perfect way to decompress after the intensity of the cave cenote.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend booking your tours at least one week in advance. However, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings.

This tour is all cenotes – three different ones, including an underground cave system. The Snorkeling & Cenote Tour combines ocean reef snorkeling (sea turtles, tropical fish) with one private cenote. Pick this one if you want the full underground experience; pick the other if you want both ocean and freshwater.

The passageways are wide enough to swim comfortably, and your guide leads the way with lamps. Most people find it awe-inspiring rather than scary. But if you have claustrophobia, let us know – we can discuss whether this tour is the right fit or recommend alternatives.

You should be comfortable in the water, but you don’t need to be a strong swimmer. Life jackets are provided and your guide is with you the entire time. The water is calm – no currents or waves.

Swimwear (worn under your clothes), a towel, a change of dry clothes, water shoes (recommended for cave entry), biodegradable sunscreen, a waterproof camera if you have one, and some cash. All snorkeling gear and life jackets are provided.

Both options are available. Private tours are fully customizable – adjust the itinerary, pace, and stops. Small-group tours follow a set route with other guests.
